The climate in 2030 – the Mid West, Western Australia

By 2030, the climate in the Mid West region of Western Australia (also known as the NEAR) is projected to change as follows:

  • Average temperatures will be higher by from 0.6 to 2°C.
  • Annual rainfall will be reduced by up to 20%.
  • Droughts will be more frequent and more severe.

These temperature and rainfall estimates are relative to 1980-99 conditions.
